Easy Way to Get Your Colon Cleansed

The colon is essentially the area of your body that is a portion of the large intestine and sucks the water out of food we had digested. The colon helps to sort out the waste in the body so that the solids can come out as stool. It's a non-stop process that is often unappreciated by the owner of the body, but a very important job.

The purpose of a colon cleanse is to gently clean out the entire colon, removing bits and pieces of old food and excrement that has become stuck in the walls lining the colon. If these are not removed, they can begin to break down, decompose and rot. This process gives off toxins, which can get into your body and lead to a number of health issues.
Once you have decided you are in the market for a colon cleansing, you need to decide which type of colon cleanse process you would like to choose. Among the options are fiber-based and oxygen-based colon cleanses.

Fiber based colon cleanses are those that use fiber to grab on to any debris that has been left in your body and clears it out. This is a very effective way to do the job as it does what you need done, clearing those stuck pieces out so they cannot break down and rot, releasing toxins into your system.

Oxygen based colon cleanses on the other had have an added benefit. The process of an oxygen colon cleanse is to use a chemical reaction to clear things out of your colon, while the byproduct of that reaction is oxygen, which is then released into your system. Oxygen is a very positive addition to the human body and tends to give the system a little extra energy, as well as making you feel good.

When Do You Need A Colon Cleanse?

If you have to wait until it is obvious that you need a colon cleanse, you have waited too long. For the symptoms of a slowed colon to show up in the form of headaches, bloating, fatigue or even depression, it has gone way too far. At this point, a number of toxins from the debris in your colon have already gotten into your blood and your system.
Instead, you want to set up a colon cleansing regimen often enough to make sure you keep the system running clean and don't ever find yourself in a situation where the toxins have had time to take over.

This is another reason you may want to choose an oxygen colon cleanse over some of the other options. Since it's a gentler form of colon cleansing, it can be used every day, if need be, or at least be put on a schedule without worrying about overdoing it.

Avoid Disease thru Colon Cleansing

The key to stopping a disease like Dybrosis is to get things back in balance. You need to be able to flush out the bad bacteria and replace the ailing or destroyed bacteria.

The best way to do this is with a complete flush of your system. Start with a clean slate and then put what your body needs back in. This can be done through a colon cleanse. A colon cleansing is a process where supplements or solutions are used to wash out the colon. These can either be taken orally or through a tube that is inserted from the anus into the colon.

Many people debate which of these options are the best. If you are looking for overall health, you want to look at the oral options. While the tube-insertion options will clean out much of the colon, they can't get into the rest of your intestinal tract where some of these bad bacteria could be hiding. Therefore, by taking an oral colon cleanse solution you will start from the top and clean out every inch of your intestines, then the colon and flush all the waste out of your body.
Most colon cleansing programs are not a one-time deal. If you think of all the years that waste has been building up in your body you will understand that it may take a while to get it all cleaned out and back to where it should be. For this reason most colon cleansing programs take a month or two to completely get the job done. Once you start a colon cleanse schedule stick with it and make sure you do it right.
Once you have started your colon cleanse regimen, you need to take a closer look at the things you are putting into your body.

Water
You need to drink plenty of water to help your body in the process of flushing out the waste. There will be plenty to remove and the more liquids you drink the easier this will be on your body.

Foods
Try to shift to a more natural diet. The fewer additives and preservatives are in the food you eat the better it is for your digestive health.

How a Colon Cleanse Can Help Prevent Colorectal Cancer

Colon cleansing breaks down hardened fecal matter so it can pass and also purges many intestinal parasites. A colon cleanse can be done by having a colonic, also called colon hydrotherapy. This is a procedure that should only be done by a licensed hydrotherapist and is not appropriate for people with some preexisting colon conditions.
Other colon cleanses involve fasting and herbal and probiotic supplements or a very restricted diet plus the supplements. These colon cleansing plans usually last for less than a week. Then you start reintroducing foods into your diet, but you keep eating colon-friendly foods.

These colon-friendly foods will help keep your colon cleansed naturally and will keep you at a lower risk for colorectal cancer:

• Fibrous fruits like pears, apples, figs and blueberries• Fibrous veggies like turnip greens, peas and brussels sprouts
• Fiber plus protein found in most all beans
• Whole grains and whole grain foods like flaxseed and oatmeal
• Yogurt which contains live, colon-friendly, bacteria
These foods should be eaten rarely to maintain a healthy colon:

• Red meats and animal fat
• All dairy except yogurt
• Refined sugars
• Most all fast foods or other heavily processed or preserved foods

If you are like most of us eating a typical “American” diet, fast food almost qualifies as a staple of our diet and, for the most part, fast food includes all of the bad foods for our colon in a single meal. The other meals we eat aren’t exactly “greens and beans”.
