Hemorrhoids May Eventually Lead To Low Blood Iron Levels And Anemia

When you think about hemorrhoids, you may think about how to treat them and get rid of them, but perhaps you may want to also think about what else they could be doing to your system.

Have you noticed you are a little more tired than usual? Have you had some hair loss, noticed more bruising than normal,or a racing heart? These could all be signs of Anemia, which could be caused by a chronic hemorrhoids problem.

If you think about it, it makes sense. When it comes to hemorrhoids symptoms, obviously one of them is a loss of blood. Well, the more you are bleeding from hemorrhoids the more blood your system is losing, and that can eventually lead to low blood iron levels and anemia.

Often it happens that women are more susceptible to anemia. There are a couple of reasons for this:

Menstrual Cycles.
First women go through a monthly cycle that loses blood from their body, their menstrual cycle. Some women have heavier cycles than others. The heavier the cycle the more blood may be lost as the woman goes through it, and her blood and iron levels can drop during this time of the month.
